Nisyee

Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Nisyee is a small personal app for counting down to trips and checking packing lists. This page explains what it stores and why.

What we store

  • Your email and name. If you sign in with Google, also your profile picture. Passwords are stored hashed by our sign-in provider and can't be read by anyone.
  • Trips you create: name, destination, dates, emoji and notes.
  • Packing list items, day plans, budgets, expenses and album photos you add.
  • Your language preference (English or Mongolian).

How it is used

  • Only to run the app for you. Your data is shown to you alone unless you turn on a share link, and it is never sold or used for advertising.
  • We do not read your Gmail, calendar, contacts or any other Google data. Sign-in requests only the basic profile scopes (email, name, picture).

Travelling with others

  • If you join a trip or invite someone, the people on it see your name and profile picture, plus everything added to that trip. Your email is never shown.

Profiles and friends

  • If you pick a username, anyone can open your page and see your name, photo, bio, home town and trips open to everyone. Sharing a trip shows its description, packing list, day plan and album to the audience you choose, and open trips appear in Explore. Notes and budgets never appear there.

Photos

  • Album photos are private until the trip's organizer shares the trip with close friends, friends or everyone. People on a trip always see its album. Location data is removed on your device before upload.

Share links

  • If you turn on sharing for a trip, anyone with that link can see its name, dates, notes, packing list and day plan. Your budget and expenses are never shared. Turn sharing off at any time and the link stops working.

AI features and other services

  • Start from a photo sends the photo you pick to Google's Gemini API so it can be read. AI suggestions and day plans send your trip name, destination, dates and notes. Nisyee doesn't keep the photo, only what you choose to save.
  • Google may use this content to improve its products, and its reviewers may read it. Don't upload passports, IDs or anything showing personal details. Hide names and booking codes first.
  • Destinations are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to find coordinates, and those coordinates go to Open-Meteo for weather.

Where it is stored

  • Data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database in the Singapore region, protected by row-level security so each account can only read its own rows. The site is hosted on Vercel.

Deleting your data

  • Delete any trip from its page; its packing list, plan, budget and photos are removed with it.
